Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

The Information and Communication Technology department services both our student population and the entire TAICO community. The department assists the School in maximizing learning outcomes by providing modern and high-quality technological infrastructure; supporting its use with all users and developing best IT practices.

The department has the responsibility to support School management in carrying out a range of IT support functions in order to ensure the smooth running of the College.

Furthermore, the department benefits from a team of highly qualified and experienced teachers who effectively harness the potential of ICT to enhance students' comprehension, ignite their curiosity, and enhance their proficiency, thereby facilitating greater access to the ICT industry.

In addition, the department provides training to our students for external international examinations such as Cambridge O'Level Computer Science, Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), and ICT competitions.

Achievements

Excellent Academic performance

Throughout the years, the Department has consistently made significant contributions to the exceptional performance of our students in both national and international examinations. Our college continues to excel as a leading participant in the Microsoft Office Specialist program and has proudly represented our country in the MOS International competition. Furthermore, our students have consistently attained remarkable scores in the Cambridge O'Level Computer Science Examinations. Notably, in the June 2022 and November 2022 sessions administered by the British Council on behalf of Cambridge Assessment International Education, two of our students achieved outstanding scores.

E-learning platforms

Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, the department effectively administered the college's E-learning platforms, ensuring the seamless delivery of online lessons. Learning at our college remains uninterrupted, as students and teachers utilize the E-learning tools managed by the ICT department even during holidays. This enables them to access a wide range of knowledge and learn at their convenience and pace.

In the immediate future, we are focusing on introducing ICT tools, including virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), to transform our conventional classrooms into dynamic and interactive environments. This initiative is expected to greatly enhance student engagement and comprehension.
